Hello,
My name is Daimian Holiday Scott I was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. I am a mental health therapist and the sole owner of my practice called Orange You Glad Counseling, LLC. I am ready to help you on your journey as I know there is little doubt life can be overwhelming at times and I am grateful you are making a decision for yourself and seeking counseling.
Types of Clients (Adolescents, Young Adults, Adults, Health Changes (Cancer, Etc.), Creative Types)
While I work with clients of all ages my passion is in the college, young adult, adolescent, and teenage populations with previous experience interning at an adolescent psychiatric inpatient facility and as a middle school counselor.
Additionally, through my experience at UF Health where I served as a counselor, social worker, and program manager for the Adolescent and Young Adult Supportive Oncology program assisting people between 15 and 39 years old, I have immensely enjoyed my time working with those in the oncology (cancer) population and those who have experienced health changes and are adjusting to a new medical diagnosis.
Further, I have a passion for working with those in the creative community as I am a musician and have pursued following my passion starting a music career in the San Francisco Bay Area (see ABOUT section for more). Through past positions and internships, I also have experience with all ages having run several groups for both adolescents and adults.
Types of Concerns (Anxiety (Social, Medical, Depression, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Relational Conflict)
I enjoy helping clients navigate various issues including anxiety (general, social, medical, etc.), grief and loss, navigating life transitions, relational conflict, depression, and self-esteem. I am person-centered and know that if the experience doesn't work for you, then it doesn't work. My style is client-centered, supportive, and solution-focused. By creating a safe environment where you are supported and feel comfortable I am here to help explore different skills and techniques that will assist in leading to new ways of approaching life's challenges.
Approach (Person-centered, Trauma-informed, CBT, Mindfulness)
While looking through a trauma-informed lens I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, how our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors) along with aspects of Insight-oriented therapy, Mindfulness, and other treatments as necessary.
Bringing a warm and supportive presence I will work with you wherever you are with the hope of moving toward where you want to be.
Thank you and I look forward to going on this journey together,
Daimian Holiday Scott

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance (or who are not using insurance) an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, then you can dispute the bill if you have saved a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
